A Review of Nomad’s Premonition

An unidentified high speed trader is successfully predicting when to buy/sell stocks within Eric Martin’s bank. It’s clearly more than luck, but is it skill or something worse that is enabling the trader to make millions.

Since Eric’s job in the Internal Security Department is to uncover fraud, insider trading and the like, he delves into the trades to learn more. Once immersed, he cannot let it go.

What drives Eric is connected to a past disaster in Casablanca. What happened there haunts him and has forever changed his life. It also taught him to trust his instincts. The thread of that past event runs throughout the book, snapshots of what happened then that still affects him today.

Is There A Predictive Algorithm?

At the center then was a predictive algorithm, believed destroyed. Could someone have gotten hold of it again?

Searching for answers now, his gut tells him something is not right. Since there is little proof of wrongdoing no one agrees with him. Even his boss is insisting he let it go. Eric can’t.

He wants his life back, sans guilt and pain. Sensing that he must find this new mystery trader to have that chance, he takes a big risk, to follow his own path lead after lead. Last time it nearly cost him his life. Will it kill him this time?

The Nomad’s Premonition is a solid suspenseful thriller. An exciting international hunt, with the clues to his past kept me turning pages as quickly as I could. Mr. Benay builds the tension with twisting skill, and well done dialogue.

Nomad on The Run

Mr Benay’s first book featuring Eric Martin, Nomad on the Run,  is the past we hear about in this novel. If you want to know that back story before you start this one, you may prefer to read it first. This is my first from this author, but I will be looking forward to more. His background is in international banking, which explains why he writes so clearly about it in these pages.

Fast paced, exciting, a likable lead character, in a suspense filled mystery. What more could you want? Give it a try. I’m sure you will enjoy it.
