Into The Night, by Cynthia Eden
An FBI behavioral analysis team composed of people who have faced serial killers, some as the victim. Macey Night is one of those victims, now on the force. Bowan Murphy is another, after his brother was murdered.
Their assignment is to find a killer, one who is hunting serial killers themselves. Is he a profiler? How does he find them? What enables him to stay steps ahead of the FBI? Each time they think they are close, the discover another body.
When the killer contacts Agent Murphy personally, the tension heightens and more bodies are discovered. If Macey and Bowan can’t get ahead of the killer, will one of them be next?
Both agents share pain from their separate pasts. Those feelings include a need for vengeance and wealth of anger that runs amid the attraction they feel for each other.
With so many deaths–of other killers–the suspects are numerous. So many have powerful motives to see the killers caught—or killed.
Cynthia Eden always writes a suspenseful novel. The complicated plot, the edginess as the agents get close to the deaths, the shocking twists, all combine well into another solid bestseller for the author. Into The Night is part of the Killer Instinct series. After the Dark and Before the Dawn are books one and two in the popular series.
It took a little time for to relate to the attraction between Macey and Bowan to as it develops their closeness became more natural. Both are likable characters you want to see overcome both their issues and their case.
You will find many surprises as you read along. You’ll have to see if you know the killer. As always, Ms Eden presents quite a puzzle. If you like romantic suspense, you’ll love this one.
I received a copy of this ebook as part of the tour hosted by TLC book tours. Since there were some time issues, I bought a copy of the audiobook from audible as well. The narration was good, read by Summer Morton. The story was well read. It was a plus to go back and forth between book and audio.
Be sure to check out the details of TLC Booktours schedule for Ms. Eden’s latest book. You’ll enjoy learning more about the author and her series.

About “Into the Night”
Mass Market Paperback: 384 pages
Publisher: HQN (December 26, 2017)
Two FBI agents are caught in a merciless vigilante’s crosshairs in New York Times bestselling author Cynthia Eden’s electric Killer Instinct series.
Sheltered in the shadows of the Smoky Mountains is the suspect who’s summoned FBI agent Macey Night’s fears to the surface. Every day that the “Profiler,” a vigilante serial killer, escapes justice is another day she’s reminded of what it is to be a ruthless predator’s prey. Capturing him is a craving deeper than anything she’s felt in a long time.
But Agent Bowen Murphy, equal parts sexy and volatile, seems hell-bent on changing that. Working together—needing, living and breathing each other—they’re entwined to distraction.
Bowen’s used to operating on impulse: act, don’t feel. Now Macey and the controlled terror behind her beautiful eyes have him rethinking everything, including his rule to never get close to a colleague.
He’s willing to fight for a future with Macey, but the consequences of love could be deadly.
