Etta and Otto and Russell and James | JAQUO Lifestyle Magazine
When 83 year old Etta gets up one morning for a walk to see the ocean, you might think, “How lovely.” She leaves her husband a stack of recipe cards and a note saying she will try to remember to return.
She sees neighbor and long time friend, Russell, as she goes.
Her husband isn’t quite sure how she can manage, but apparently lets her go.
The problem is the ocean is over 3000 kilometers away. That could be rather difficult.
Etta, her husband, Otto, and Russell go way back. The book takes us back and forth into their past, and back to the present. Russell is determined to find her, even if her husband isn’t.
Will he, I wonder? Will Etta see the ocean for the first time in her life? Why didn’t her husband go after her?
This is the debut novel for author, Emma Hooper. According to Jackie Jackson, who reviews the book below, she is off to an excellent start. Well developed characters, and a well woven plot.
Sounds like still another I will be reading in the future.
